# Select Board - 10/09/26

At its October 9, 2026 special meeting, the Westwood Select Board voted unanimously to sign and post the warrant for the October 26 Special Town Meeting. The warrant’s two articles include an appropriation for the Fire Station 1 project to design, construct, furnish, and equip a new station, with funding sources proposed to include free cash, the sale of real estate, meals and hotel tax revenue, the recreation revolving fund, and borrowing. The board noted that the project will also require a November 3 ballot question; the warrant vote did not itself approve the project appropriation. The Finance and Warrant Commission had unanimously recommended both articles.
