# October Planning Commission, 10/8/26

The City of Norman Planning Commission meeting on October 8, 2026, considered land-use and development applications; no government procurement activity was identified. The Commission approved the minutes and two certificates of survey 7–0, and approved the preliminary plat for the 108th Avenue business edition 5–2 after discussion of the proposed onsite wastewater system, well clearances, and possible effects on a neighboring property. It also approved 7–0 a planned-unit-development ordinance for 201 West Apache, a utility-easement vacation at 200 Vicksburg Avenue, a planned-unit-development change at 211 West Sims allowing a 10-year off-site parking lease, and the land-use amendment, rezoning, and preliminary plat for the Retreat at Norman, a proposed 190-unit development at 3060 Classen Boulevard.

The Commission postponed the AutoZone rezoning and preliminary plat for 328 East Robinson Street to its November 12, 2026 meeting. Commissioners cited concerns raised by a neighboring veterinary hospital about site access and potential cut-through traffic, parking, the dumpster location, and the site layout, and called for further discussion with the neighbor and design team. The meeting addressed no contract awards, bids, or public spending decisions.
