# R2S Expands Arkansas Interceptor Production

On October 7, 2026, Raytheon–Rafael joint venture R2S delivered the first complete Tamir interceptors manufactured and assembled at its East Camden, Arkansas, facility to Israel for the Iron Dome system. The new U.S. production line also is intended to produce SkyHunter interceptors for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Medium Range Intercept Capability (MRIC), adding domestic production capacity and another supply source for Tamir customers. The signals do not identify a contract value, solicitation, or procurement contact.

- The production expansion is relevant to defense procurement teams assessing interceptor supply chains and U.S.-based manufacturing capacity for missile-defense programs.
- Suppliers and potential subcontractors can assess whether their manufacturing or component capabilities align with Tamir and planned SkyHunter production; the reports identify no current solicitation or open bid opportunity.
- The delivery demonstrates production at the Arkansas facility, but does not specify contract terms, quantities, or delivery schedules beyond the first shipment.
