# Personnel and Public Employees Committee 4/30/2024

The City of Sacramento Personnel and Public Employees Committee met on April 30, 2024. The committee approved its consent calendar 4–0 and recommended appointments to the Animal Care Services Citizens Advisory Committee and the Sacramento Disabilities Advisory Commission. The City Clerk also outlined a project to standardize commission codes and procedures, including adding youth seats where appropriate and aligning appointment and term practices. Members discussed commissioner stipends and parking, but no new spending was approved; the clerk described existing stipend levels, generally $50 and $100 for the Planning and Design Commission as stated in the meeting.

The Sacramento Community Police Review Commission presented its 2023 annual report and 2024 work plan, covering military-equipment-use and search-and-seizure recommendations, community engagement, and review of outstanding recommendations. Members discussed possible funding and staff support for public forums, but made no funding allocation or procurement decision. The committee voted to forward the report to the City Council with direction for staff feedback and coordination with the Office of Public Safety Accountability. No contracts, RFPs, vendor selections, purchases, or capital-project approvals were identified.
