# Saco Planning Board Meeting - October 6, 2026

The Saco Planning Board met October 6, 2026, and took no procurement or municipal purchasing actions. It approved the September 15 minutes and, by a 5–0 vote, accepted completeness-review items for proposed light-industrial buildings on Learner Road and a preliminary subdivision/site plan at 0 Silver Pine Drive. Site walks were scheduled for October 27 and November 3, with the Conservation Commission invited to provide advisory input because of wetland sensitivities. The board also noted that review of 83 Jenkins Road is awaiting further work and peer review of a proposed stream crossing; no board action was required on that item.

The board continued review of a proposal for two commercial warehouses at 95 Portland Road. Discussion focused on building design, landscaping, pedestrian access, phasing, and conditions; the board supported added landscaping around the loading area and a requirement for a pedestrian connection, with a minor site-plan amendment due within two years and construction of the connection within five years. A related motion passed 4–1. The board also adopted findings of fact and a recommendation to the City Council for a contract-zone petition for a wireless telecommunications facility at 0 Ricker Road, passing 4–0 with one member recused. Staff gave updates on the open-space plan and upcoming public engagement, and on implementation of LD 2173.
