# Red Clay Board of Education Workshop: Academic Data

Red Clay Board of Education workshop on Strategic Plan Priority One (Student Success), held October 7, 2026. District staff reviewed academic and school-support data against the plan’s 2029 targets, including a goal of increasing proficiency by 10% from the 2023 baseline. Middle-school ELA and math proficiency showed gains, while districtwide ELA remained roughly flat and math improved gradually. The presentation also covered early literacy, access to AP/IB/dual-enrollment coursework, career-readiness credentials and work-based learning, attendance, discipline, and school improvement planning. Staff noted that schools will review goals this month and again in late January or early February using new data, with additional support and possible course corrections where needed.

The board amended the agenda to allow public comment, but no one spoke; it later voted to adjourn. No contracts, vendor selections, bids, budget allocations, or other procurement activity were identified.
