# August 24, 2026 - Superintendent's Report

The LexRich5 Board of Trustees’ Superintendent’s Report on August 24, 2026, included a preliminary June financial update, a presentation on planning and accountability, and an operations update on bond and capital projects. The CFO reported approximately $255 million in collected revenue against a $250 million projection (about 2% above projection); state aid to classrooms was approximately $2.6 million below projections based on enrollment. The financials were preliminary and still being closed out, with the annual audit pending. No spending-related motion or vote was reported during the meeting.

The operations presentation reviewed school construction and summer capital work, including Chapin Elementary, Dutch Fork Elementary, Irmo High School’s student center and planned business incubator, a professional development and administration building, and modular classrooms at Harbison West and Nursery Road. The district reported more than 3,500 student desks and chairs deployed, 3,000 lights replaced, HVAC replacements, and other school upgrades. An early site package for the professional development and administration building had already been approved; a guaranteed maximum price amendment was expected to come to the board for approval by mid-November. Staff also anticipated bringing an architect recommendation for inclusion middle-school fields in late October or early November, and said field improvements would combine state-contract resources with separately procured architectural and engineering design work. A vendor demonstration for replacement video and scoreboards was planned; no vendor selection, contract amount, or new procurement approval was identified in the transcript.
