Hamilton County Commissioners staff meeting, October 6, 2026: Staff reported that the county will host a disaster recovery center at Central Campus, with about 68 FEMA representatives and state and federal partners, to assist residents and businesses affected by wind and Whitewater River flooding. Commissioners called for department-level budget discussions, public hearings, and consideration of additional savings and financing options. A budget release is tentatively planned for November 12, with hearings in November and early December and adoption targeted for December 17. Paula Brem Hager was honored for being named Ohio’s 2026 Librarian of the Year; the proclamation noted the library’s 10-year facilities master plan and expanded community services.
