# Glendale Housing Authority - 10/06/2026

At the October 6, 2026 regular meeting of the Glendale Housing Authority, staff reported that HUD will provide tenant protection vouchers for eligible Emergency Housing Voucher families who were under lease as of September 30. Staff said the change is expected to cover all of the Authority’s EHV families, with HUD initially identifying 169 vouchers; the Authority will verify the figure using September 30 data and report back by October 15. HUD expects to make the awards in December, and families must transition by December 31, 2026. The vouchers include funding, use the Authority’s existing Housing Choice Voucher payment standards, and allow families to remain in their current homes without a new eligibility process or interruption in assistance. Staff will notify families by letter and phone. The meeting concluded with a motion and second to adjourn. No procurement activity or contract decisions were identified.
