# BOCC Meeting

The Park County, Wyoming Board of County Commissioners meeting on October 7, 2026, approved several procurement and spending items. The board awarded a four-year waste-tire recycling contract to Wyoming Steel Services at $230 per ton, with an exit clause, and awarded the four-grader purchase to T&E for Caterpillar graders under a two-year buyback arrangement. It also rescinded its earlier scrap-metal contract award to Pacific Steel and Recycling and awarded the four-year contract to Wyoming Steel Services at $131 per ton, with an exit option tied to market conditions. The sheriff’s bid for four Chevrolet Silverado pickups was awarded to Denny Menholt for $146,990; the sheriff cited the bid’s price, warranty, and required items. The consent agenda, including payroll, vouchers, IT out-of-state training, a Cody Partners space-use request, and a law-firm lease, was approved. Staff recommended reviewing landfill tire fees, which are currently below the estimated disposal cost; no fee change was voted on.

The board approved a special-use permit for Northwest College’s ropes course and an expanded fireworks-storage permit, and received the Planning and Zoning Commission’s October 5 redline draft of the 2027 Development Standards and Regulations. It scheduled a public hearing on the draft for December 1 and planned to release it for public review beginning October 13; receipt did not constitute approval of the proposed changes. Commissioners also discussed data centers and related power, water, road, and regulatory considerations following a conference tour, but noted that Park County had received no data-center proposal. The meeting included a public-health-officer candidate interview; no procurement action was identified in that discussion.
