# Board Meeting September 2026

The Greenfield Union School District Board of Trustees’ regular meeting was held October 6, 2026. The board heard a teachers’ association concern that classroom-instruction spending was reportedly about 13% below California’s 60% target and that the district might seek a county waiver; a board member requested staff analysis for a future meeting. The board reviewed and approved the 2025–26 unaudited actuals and adopted Resolution 1233 setting appropriation limits for 2025–26 and 2026–27. The financial review included a reported general-fund beginning balance of approximately $20.1 million and a $3.31 million net position in the self-insurance fund. The board also discussed delayed state child-nutrition funding that contributed to negative interest in Fund 13.

The board approved a resolution granting full compensation to a trustee for an August absence, approved consent-agenda items with a correction to a reimbursement description, and advanced 32 board policies for first reading. Presentations covered Aroyo Seco Academy’s school programs and student supports, and the superintendent reported on a college-readiness cohort and student services. No RFPs, contract awards, vendor selections, or other purchasing approvals were identified.
