# Fox C-6 Board of Education Meeting - 9/15/2026

The Fox C-6 Board of Education held its September 15, 2026 tax-rate hearing and regular meeting. The board approved keeping the property tax levy unchanged at 4.1867: 3.6966 for incidental operations, 0.10 for capital projects, and 0.3901 for debt service. The district estimated $58.9 million in tax revenue at full collection and said the capital levy would generate about $2.7 million. Officials also discussed shifting 22 cents from capital projects to operating funds because of revenue reductions, and said bond funding would support HVAC, roofing, and safety and security work without a tax-rate increase. A community member requested that the tax-rate pro forma be included with future agendas; district staff offered to share the form.

The board approved the August group of bills and an agreement with Gallagher Benefit Services to serve as the district’s benefits broker and consultant; no contract amount was stated. It also approved early-separation notice stipends of $1,000 for qualifying notices submitted by December 18, 2026, and $500 for notices submitted December 19, 2026–January 8, 2027, to support earlier hiring. The financial report noted August payments for parking-lot work and the Fox High School baseball/softball field. Policies were accepted for first reading, with adoption scheduled for a later meeting; the district also described an upcoming community survey to help set priorities for its next five-year improvement plan.
