# U.S. and Zambia Establish Commercial Project Framework

The U.S. and Zambian governments established a five-year, nonbinding framework to identify and promote U.S. private-sector participation in priority commercial projects in Zambia, spanning agriculture, energy, mining, manufacturing, healthcare, digital services, tourism, education, and transportation. The MOU provides for agency outreach, technical assistance, and possible financing, but commits no funds and awards no contracts; companies remain responsible for arranging project financing and complying with applicable laws.
