# 10/05/2026 BOCC Meeting

The October 5, 2026, Deschutes County Board of Commissioners meeting included a vote to approve the agenda and a 2–1 vote approving Order 2026-029 to reopen the record in the BCL LLC comprehensive plan amendment and zone change matter, limited to three remand issues: historic irrigation, Goal 14 density analysis, and effects on the Bend urban growth boundary. The board also received work-session briefings on proposed county code amendments for private family burial grounds and related Sisters urban growth boundary proposals. Commissioners discussed protections for wetlands, floodplains, and other Goal 5 resources; infrastructure and development considerations; public comments; and preparation for the October 22 hearing. No contract awards, bids, vendor selections, or county purchasing decisions were identified.

The board was also advised that the burial-ground amendments would return for a public hearing and that a hearing on the BCL matter was tentatively scheduled for October 26. Commissioner announcements covered regional transportation, transit ridership, and an economic development loan made by another organization; these were not county procurement actions. The meeting concluded with an executive session regarding employee performance, with no final decision announced.
