# B&A Opens Madison Defense Technology Facility

B&A opened a 45,000-square-foot facility in Madison, Alabama, on September 29, 2026, to support defense, intelligence, space, and federal law-enforcement missions in the Huntsville-Madison region. The facility is intended to provide engineering, technology development, systems integration, prototyping, testing, and evaluation capabilities. The announcements identify no solicitation, contract award, or facility investment value, so the opening signals expanded capacity rather than a specific procurement opportunity.

- The facility may create regional subcontracting, supplier, and workforce opportunities tied to B&A’s stated mission-support capabilities; firms can assess whether their offerings align with engineering, integration, prototyping, or test and evaluation needs.
- Procurement professionals should distinguish this capacity expansion from a contract action: the signals do not identify a customer agency, acquisition vehicle, funding amount, or solicitation.
- B&A CEO Jonathan Evans described the facility as a long-term commitment to the region’s missile defense, space, and intelligence missions, indicating the company’s intention to support those markets over time.
