# DOGE Disrupts Federal Operations

The account describes DOGE’s disruptive approach to federal staffing and operations, including reported mass personnel actions, access to sensitive government functions, and interruptions to established procedures. It also presents conflicting accounts of IRS COO Melanie Krause’s cooperation and subsequent override, while raising questions about leadership-transition planning, data safeguards, and legal accountability. No contract, solicitation, vendor, or procurement opportunity is identified; the relevance for agencies and contractors is the potential effect of operational disruption and access-control concerns on continuity, oversight, and work involving sensitive government systems.

- Agencies and contractors supporting the IRS or other affected operations should account for possible workforce and leadership changes when assessing continuity risks and dependencies on government personnel.
- Organizations handling sensitive government data should review their access controls and safeguards in light of the concerns raised about access and oversight; the account does not identify a new formal requirement.
- No specific acquisition or contracting action is described, so the signals do not support a recommendation to pursue a particular opportunity.
