# Planning Board Meeting - October 1, 2026

The Municipality of Princeton Planning Board met on October 1, 2026. The main item was Ordinance 2026-32, which consolidates and updates the municipality’s sign regulations. Staff described proposed changes intended to modernize and clarify sign standards, streamline permits, provide more flexibility for businesses, and address lighting, historic properties, campuses, and other sign types. The board discussed how the ordinance relates to dark-sky principles and agreed that a cover memo should note the board’s expectation that the signage rules and any future dark-sky policies be consistent. The ordinance is scheduled for consideration by the council on October 12.

The board approved a motion, by roll call, to recommend that the council find Ordinance 2026-32 substantially consistent with the master plan. Members also heard that public comments on the separate zoning-code rewrite are being accepted through approximately December 1. The board approved minutes from July 17 and September 3 and adjourned. No procurement activity, contract award, or spending decision was identified.
