# Metropolitan Planning Commission - October 1st, 2026

The Delaware County Metropolitan Planning Commission met on October 2, 2026. The Commission gave favorable recommendations, each by an 8–0 vote, for Star Plus Holdings LLC’s request to rezone an approximately 4.82-acre former railroad strip on North Schaeffer Road from split industrial/airport zoning to intensive industrial zoning, and Dana Thompson’s request to operate a small, occasional yoga studio as a home occupation in an R-3 residence zone. The Commission also noted that three previously considered zoning and special-use cases had been approved by the relevant bodies. No contract awards, bids, purchasing decisions, or procurement-related spending were identified.

The Commission continued the proposed McKinley Neighborhood overlay zoning amendment after discussion revealed uncertainty about which draft and revisions were before the members; the continuation passed 8–0, with the next regular meeting scheduled for November 5. The proposal concerns development standards and review procedures, including accessory dwelling unit height, lot coverage, committee duties, appeals, and approval expiration. The director also reported on the ongoing comprehensive zoning ordinance update, public input opportunities, and the city’s parks-plan process. These were planning and policy discussions, not procurement actions.
