# Germany Expands Ukraine IRIS-T Deliveries

Ukraine has commissioned its 11th German-supplied IRIS-T SLM air-defense system. A 12th system is expected by the end of 2026, and seven additional units are reportedly secured for delivery through the end of 2028. Germany has allocated €182 million for additional SLM and SLS launchers. A further procurement of roughly two to four fire units is under consideration to sustain production capacity, but no decision to expand the order has been made.

- The planned deliveries and launcher funding indicate a continuing demand pipeline for air-defense systems and related components; HENSOLDT is identified as the TRML-4D radar manufacturer, and Diehl Defence is also associated with the program.
- Contractors and suppliers should distinguish the reported deliveries and allocated funding from the possible follow-on purchase, which is not yet an approved expansion.
- The potential two-to-four-unit order is described as a way to sustain production capacity, making manufacturing availability and delivery schedules relevant to suppliers supporting the program.
