# Conservation Commission 09-29-2026

The Barnstable Conservation Commission held a public hearing on September 29, 2026, to review wetland and conservation permits. The commission unanimously approved a proposed four-foot walkway at 75 Bay Area Way, standard vista pruning at 476 Baxter Road, and renovation and site improvements for the existing restaurant at 790 Iyannough Road; the restaurant plan moved hardscape outside the 50-foot buffer and included parking, grading, landscaping, and drainage improvements. The commission also approved a wetland-boundary request for 63 Farm Valley Road and a pool-and-patio proposal under the state riverfront rules. These were permit decisions concerning private projects, not government purchases or contract awards.

Other applications were continued or discussed pending additional information. A pool project by CMS Holding LLC was continued to October 13 for a revised plan showing erosion controls and any added plantings; another application was continued to October 20 for a revised plan. Commissioners discussed additional mitigation planting and tree treatment for the Feringas property, but the transcript does not clearly capture a final vote on that matter. No procurement activity, spending approvals, or vendor selections were identified.
