# 7/14/2026 FGSD School Board Special Session

The Forest Grove School District Board held a special session on July 14, 2026. The board unanimously approved a $372,186 purchase agreement with Trane, using bond funds and the OMNIA cooperative purchasing program, for air-conditioning equipment and controls, including engineering and installation, at the Oak Grove Academy spaces at Tom McCall Upper Elementary. The district described the work as one of its remaining HVAC bond projects and a measure to support student and staff well-being during rising summer temperatures.

The board also elected Alma Lozano as chair and Pete Truax as vice chair for the 2026–27 school year. It approved standing committee assignments, with legislative advocacy committee members to be named later at the board retreat. No other procurement actions were identified.
