# Planning - September 29,  2026

The City of Solon Planning Commission meeting on September 29, 2026, addressed land-use applications; no procurement activity, contract awards, or spending decisions were identified. The commission unanimously tabled the Hawthorne Golf Estates LLC application for 128500 Hawthorne Parkway. It approved a recommendation for a 24-square-foot accessory-structure size variance at 32675 Woodsdale Lane, with the engineering memo attached. For 37173 O’Neil Drive, it recommended a four-foot driveway-width variance to allow a 20-foot driveway, subject to engineering memo requirements; the vote was 4–1. It also unanimously recommended a one-foot garage-apron variance at that address. The commission noted that it is a recommending body and City Council makes the final decision. The September 15 minutes were adopted, with two abstentions.

Other comments included a welcome to the new fire lieutenant and announcements of an upcoming fire open house and community-park grand opening. The next meeting was scheduled for October 13.
