# Navy Awards Serco $199M Ship Support Contract

The U.S. Navy awarded Serco Inc. a **$199 million** full-and-open competitive recompete to provide life-cycle management support for in-service surface ships under the Deputy Portfolio Acquisition Executive Maritime for Modernization & Sustainment (DPAE M&S). The work spans 10 mission functions, including program and project management, technical engineering, and integrated logistics support, primarily at naval hubs in the continental United States and overseas. Because the award has already been made, the direct prime-contract opportunity is closed; the award signals continuing demand for Navy fleet modernization and sustainment capabilities.

- The award establishes Serco as the prime contractor for this support effort; firms seeking related work can assess whether their capabilities fit subcontracting needs on Serco’s delivery team.
- The 10-function scope points to demand for program management, engineering, and logistics expertise supporting in-service surface ships.
- Companies can use the award as a market indicator when positioning for adjacent Navy modernization and sustainment requirements; the signals do not identify specific follow-on solicitations or deadlines.
