U.S. Customs and Border Protection is renewing its voluntary Document Image System (DIS) pilot for submitting ownership documentation for used self-propelled vehicles (USPVs) being exported. Participants submit required documents electronically through DIS using an approved Automated Broker Interface or email, while other export requirements, including applicable deadlines and presentation of the vehicle, remain unchanged. The renewal extends the pilot for two years from publication, and eligibility is limited to parties responsible for submitting the documentation who have access to the AES filing’s Internal Transaction Number. The notice invites public comment and directs interested participants to contact their local CBP vehicle export processing office.
