The USDA Forest Service’s Gila National Forest is seeking contractors to remove, relocate, and supply vault toilets at recreation sites in New Mexico.
- **Government buyer:** U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service; Gila National Forest; USDA-FS CSA Southwest 7.
- **OEMs named:** **CXT** (Gunnison-style vault toilets) and **Romtec** (existing toilets identified for demolition). No part numbers are specified.
- **Base work:** Demolish five existing toilets—three Romtec units, one Kingston Campground unit, and one Emory Pass Heliport fiberglass unit—and decommission, transport, and reinstall three existing CXT Gunnison toilets:
  - San Fran Hot Springs to Bighorn Campground.
  - Mogollon to Gomez Peak.
  - Lower Gallinas Campground to Little Walnut Day Use Area.
- **Optional products:** One new CXT Gunnison-style, single-user toilet with installation at Head of Ditch Campground, and one new CXT Gunnison-style toilet for delivery only to Fort Bayard Administrative Site. Both are specified as 6 ft 6 in × 14 ft 8 in, right-hand screen, Buckskin finish, and brand name or equal; the specifications also call for barnwood wall texture and a cedar-shake roof texture.
- **Optional related work:** Demolish the existing Romtec toilet at Head of Ditch Campground as part of the installation option. The delivery-only option does not include installation.
- **Site and construction requirements:** Provide three concrete aprons/slabs at the relocated CXT toilets, approximately 14 ft 7½ in × 5 ft × 4 in thick, with Van Horn Roll finish. The detailed specifications call for a concrete strength of at least 3,500 psi at 28 days. Work also includes pumping and cleaning vaults, waste disposal at an approved facility, backfilling, compaction, grading, site restoration, and contractor-provided labor, equipment, transport, and cleanup. New toilet specifications include a 1,000-gallon concrete waste vault with polyethylene liner and accessibility and structural requirements.
- **Performance period:** Begin work within 10 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed and complete the work, including cleanup, within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
