The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research for cathodic-protection services across its worldwide installations.
- Government buyer: United States Air Force, through the Air Force Civil Engineer Center and AFICC 772 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron; the initial notice also identifies Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, and FA8051 772 ESS PKD.
- Opportunity: Sources-sought market research for a possible multi-year IDIQ; this is not a solicitation.
- Requested services: Inventory, survey, inspect, assess, and document impressed-current and galvanic cathodic-protection systems at approximately 140 USAF installations in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  - Covered infrastructure includes fuel storage and distribution systems, pipelines, underground and aboveground tanks, water and gas distribution systems, heating-water lines, waterfront structures, and other protected assets.
  - Tasks include system checks and measurements, anode-bed surveys, close-interval potential surveys (CIPS), direct-current voltage-gradient (DCVG) surveys, leak surveys, water-tank calibration measurements, and resistance-bond checks.
- Requirements: Work must follow UFM 3-570-06, including Chapter 3, and the draft performance work statement. Personnel must hold applicable AMPP/NACE CP2, CP3, and CP4 qualifications; equipment must be calibrated.
- Deliverables: Itemized and annual corrosion survey reports, plus CP4-stamped mitigation and repair plans. Reports are due within 30 days after fieldwork. Infrastructure and vulnerability information must be handled as CUI.
