The City of Thousand Oaks Public Works Department is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate a large storm drain on Pembridge Street using trenchless lining methods.
- **Buyer:** City of Thousand Oaks, Public Works Department, Ventura County, California.
- **Work requested:** Rehabilitate approximately 1,200 linear feet of existing 60-inch corrugated-metal storm drain pipe. The project also includes a new utility maintenance hole, access-structure work, temporary stormwater management or bypass pumping, traffic control, surface restoration, testing, and closeout.
- **Lining options and named manufacturers/products:** **GeoKrete by Vortex Companies**; **GeoSpray by GeoTree/Henkel**, an approved geopolymer alternative subject to City review of quality-control procedures; or cured-in-place pipe (CIPP). **PERMACAST PL-8000** may be considered as a structural substitute if it meets project design criteria and required engineering support is provided.
- **Key technical requirements:** Provide a uniform minimum 1.5-inch lining thickness, measured from corrugation crests and bolts, and fill pipe corrugations. The contractor must provide material testing and verify field conditions. Work must be trenchless from public right-of-way access points; surface access or ground disturbance in private drainage easements is not permitted.

### Description

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking bids for trenchless rehabilitation of approximately 1,200 linear feet of existing 60-inch corrugated metal storm drain pipe along Pembridge Street. The lining will use either spin-cast geopolymer mortar or cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) to restore structural capacity and extend the stormwater facility’s service life without open-trench excavation. Additional work includes constructing a utility maintenance hole, replacing or adjusting access structures, stormwater management or bypass pumping, traffic control, surface restoration, and project closeout. The engineer’s estimate is $1,700,000, and bidders must submit complete bid documents, including all forms in the Bidder’s Checklist.
