FAA Establishes Alaska RNAV Route T-550 and Revokes VOR Federal Airway V-320

**Posted:** October 16, 2026
**Identifier:** 2026-21192

The FAA is updating Alaska airspace designations by revoking VOR Federal Airway V-320 and establishing RNAV Route T-550.
- **Government buyer:** Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), U.S. Department of Transportation; no specific sub-agency office is identified.
- **Regulatory action:** Revokes Alaska’s VOR Federal Airway V-320 because signal limitations make portions unusable. The separate V-320 in Michigan is unaffected.
- **New route:** Establishes RNAV Route T-550 from the FRIDA fix to the Anchorage VOR/DME, with an intermediate fix at RUNTL, to provide coverage for segments not overlaid by existing airways.
- **Procurement status:** This is a regulatory airspace action, not a procurement. No OEMs, vendors, products, quantities, or services are identified.

### Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) final rule revokes Alaska’s VOR Federal Airway V-320 because navigational signal limitations make portions of the route unusable; it does not affect the separate V-320 route in Michigan. The rule also establishes RNAV Route T-550 near Anchorage, Alaska, between the FRIDA fix and the Anchorage VOR/DME. It amends 14 CFR part 71 and is effective December 24, 2026, at 0901 UTC.
