The U.S. Army is seeking industry solutions for a Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML)-Lite prototype effort.
- **Opportunity:** Competitive prototype effort under 10 U.S.C. § 4022, conducted by the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), through W6DV PEO M&S Redstone and the USA RCCTO Contracting Office.
- **What is requested:** Solutions Briefs for complete, integrated autonomous or optionally crewed light launcher systems with mobility and munition reload capability. Systems should be ready to demonstrate live-munition firing.
- **Demonstration:** Phase 1 systems are planned for demonstration at Talisman Sabre 2027 in Australia in August 2027. An approved alternative demonstration must be completed by September 30, 2027. Performers provide system operation, logistics, safety, cybersecurity, transportation, checkout, field service, and repair support.
- **Potential follow-on purchases and services:** The Army requests tiered firm-fixed-price pricing for 1–6 additional prototype units, plus optional New Equipment Training (NET) and Contractor Logistics Support (CLS). A later Phase 2 may mature selected systems into production-representative prototypes and advance integration with the common CAML architecture.
- **Key requirements:** Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and modular interfaces; cybersecurity and safety evidence; Government data rights and Right to Repair deliverables; configuration, acceptance, warranty, and technical-data documentation. Performers may not rely on Soldiers to operate, maintain, or repair demonstration systems.
- **Dates:** Solutions Briefs are due October 23, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. CT. Phase 1 OTA awards are expected December 18, 2026; checkout/readiness is planned for March 2027 or earlier.
- **Vendor and pricing information:** No OEM, vendor, model, part number, or contract value is identified. The demonstration prototype remains Performer property unless the OTA specifies otherwise; any prototype purchase is subject to agreement.
