SAMHSA is revising its Communities Talk survey to collect information about community prevention activities, not seeking products or services through a procurement.

### Description

SAMHSA is requesting OMB approval for a revision to its information collection, the Assessment of Communities Talk to Prevent Alcohol and Other Drug Misuse (formerly the Assessment of the Underage Drinking Prevention Initiative, OMB No. 0930-0288). The collection uses an organizer survey to assess Communities Talk activities and community efforts to prevent alcohol and other drug misuse. The revised survey includes 17 items, and SAMHSA estimates that 500 organizers will each complete one survey annually, taking an average of 15 minutes. This notice invites public comments on the proposed information collection; comments should be received by December 14, 2026.
