- **Regulatory action:** EPA determined that the Berrien County and Muskegon County nonattainment areas attained the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards, based on certified air-monitoring data and EGLE’s request.
- **Effect:** While the areas continue to attain the standard, the rule suspends related State Implementation Plan requirements, including attainment demonstrations, Reasonably Available Control Measures, Reasonable Further Progress plans, and contingency measures.

### Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency determines that the Berrien County and Muskegon County, Michigan nonattainment areas have attained the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards. The determination is based on certified air monitoring data for the 2023–2025 design-value period and Michigan EGLE’s exceptional-events request. As a result, the EPA suspends specified attainment-related planning requirements, including attainment demonstrations, RACM, RFP plans, and contingency measures. The suspension applies for as long as the areas continue to attain the standard.
