### Description

Executive Order 14434 directs executive departments and agencies, to the maximum extent permitted by law, to use “Super Intelligence” and “SI” instead of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” in official correspondence, public communications, websites, reports, policy documents, and other nonstatutory documents. The order defines Super Intelligence and SI by reference to the existing statutory definition of artificial intelligence in 15 U.S.C. § 9401(3). Within 60 days, the Assistant to the President for Science and Technology is to submit proposed legislative language for a federal definition and related recommendations. The order does not require changing previously issued regulations, presidential actions, contracts, grants, or other historical documents.
