### Description

Auburn University at Montgomery has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified one individual and 556 associated funerary objects including pottery sherds, lithics, faunal bones, shell, metal objects, glass shards, and fired clay. The university has determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and objects and several Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. Repatriation of these items may occur on or after October 23, 2026.
