### Description

Indiana State University has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified human remains representing at least two individuals and one associated funerary object, a turkey bone awl, removed from Dearborn County, Indiana. The university has determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and associated objects and several Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. Repatriation of the remains and objects may occur on or after October 23, 2026, upon written request to the university's authorized representative.
