### Description

The North Pacific Fishery Management Council (NPFMC) will hold a hybrid public meeting on October 16, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alaska Time. The meeting will cover topics including pelagic and non-pelagic trawl fisheries, federal fishery management measures, statutory requirements for habitat impact assessments, ongoing research on trawl gear impacts, and Council actions related to habitat and bottom contact standards. The meeting will be held in person at the Marriott Anchorage Downtown and online via Zoom. Public comments are accepted electronically prior to the meeting, and in-person public testimony will be heard at the meeting.
