### Description

The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council will hold a meeting of the Snapper Grouper Advisory Panel from October 6 to October 8, 2026. The meeting will discuss amendments to the Fishery Management Plan for the Snapper Grouper Fishery of the South Atlantic Region, including commercial permit and trip efficiency, yellowtail snapper and mutton snapper, and headboat vessel limits. The Advisory Panel will provide input and recommendations on these amendments, develop a fishery performance report, evaluate the stock risk rating for red grouper, and receive updates on other ongoing Council projects and initiatives. The meeting will be held at the Drury Plaza Hotel North Charleston, South Carolina, and will also be available via webinar. Public comments will be taken during the meeting.
