NASA Langley Research Center is seeking to procure six high-pressure gaseous hydrogen storage tanks for its Direct-Connect Combustion-heated Scramjet Test Facility.
- Sole source procurement is intended with CP Industries Holdings, Inc.
- Tanks must be seamless SA372 Grade J, Class 70 stainless steel and meet ASME UPV Code Section VIII and NASA LPR 1710.40-P2 Section 8 requirements.
  - Design pressure: 2800 psi
  - Operating pressure: 2520 psi
  - Temperature range: -20 to 200°F
- Tanks will be integrated into stackable bi-directional I-beam framing, supporting up to four tanks vertically.
  - Includes lifting fixtures for transport and installation
- NASA is requesting capability statements from other vendors to determine if competition is possible; no price quotes are being accepted at this stage.
- Delivery location is NASA Langley Research Center.

<p><strong>Synopsis:</strong></p>

<p>VENDORS <strong><u>MUST</u></strong> REFERENCE THE NOTICE ID WHEN SUBMITTING A CAPABILITY STATEMENT.</p>

<p>NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Direct Connect GH2 Tanks&nbsp;</p>

<p>NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to CP INDUSTRIES HOLDINGS, INC: 2214 WALNUT ST | MCKEESPORT, PA 15132 under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that CP INDUSTRIES HOLDINGS, INC is the sole provider of Direct Connect GH2 Tanks</p>

<p>NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Langley Research Center (LARC).</p>

<p>The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial</p>

<p>Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 8:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on 9/22/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.</p>
