### Description

California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) intends to repatriate 38 cultural items that are objects of cultural patrimony affiliated with Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. These items were collected from various archaeological sites in California, including Long Beach, Rowland Heights, Abalone Cove, Avocado Heights, Santa Fe Springs, and Redondo Beach. The repatriation is conducted under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and may occur on or after October 16, 2026. Requests for repatriation can be submitted by lineal descendants, Indian Tribes, or Native Hawaiian organizations with cultural affiliation.
