Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) is seeking qualified contractors for the construction of the new Van Meter Substation in Kissimmee, Florida. - Scope of Work: - Complete greenfield substation construction, including furnishing labor, supervision, materials, and equipment (except owner-furnished items) - Installation of owner-furnished major equipment: breakers, transformers, switchgear, and control house - Excludes transformer erection, relay/control cable supply and termination, testing, and certain transmission structure installations - Contractor must coordinate with KUA operations and other contractors - Major Equipment: - Breakers, transformers, switchgear, and control house supplied by KUA (OEMs not specified) - Eligibility & Requirements: - Only firms with proven substation construction experience and qualified personnel may bid - Mandatory pre-bid meeting, insurance, and 100% performance bond required - Listed Bidders: - Elite Construction of Ocala - ENGETECNICA USA LLC - Haugland Energy Group LLC - Irby Construction Company - MasTec - Service Electric Company - Terry's Electric, Inc.

Description

Kissimmee Utility Authority is soliciting proposals for the construction of a new greenfield Van Meter Substation. The contractor will be responsible for all substation construction activities including labor, supervision, materials, and equipment not provided by KUA. Major equipment such as breakers, transformers, switchgear, and the control house will be supplied by KUA. The contractor must complete the work according to contract documents and standards, excluding certain tasks like transformer erection and relay/control cable supply. Only firms with proven substation construction experience and qualified personnel are eligible to bid.
