Description
The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) is seeking input from vanpool service providers, mobility operators, fleet vendors, and technology partners on the feasibility of implementing a fixed-fare vanpool subsidy model within a public agency-sponsored commuter program. The program aims to shift from traditional vendor cost-based vanpool structures to a predictable, zone-based fare system where riders pay a consistent monthly fare and the agency absorbs backend variability. SBCAG is interested in understanding how vendors could support, adapt to, or integrate with this fixed-fare framework, including pricing, mileage management, NTD reporting, fleet, billing, and customer service functions. The information gathered will help shape future procurement strategies and program design.
