Title: N66001-26-Q-0052 – Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source to Tampa Microwave.Description: The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Tampa Microwave. The requirement is for the purchase of engineering services:Tampa Microwave16255 Bay Vista Drive, Suite 100Clearwater, FL 33760DESCRIPTION:In order to demonstrate the Extreme Waves MPS ESA on the SES mPOWER constellation, the contractor shall develop and integrate both hardware and software. The contract shall integrate the MPS ESA with peripheral radio frequency (RF) hardware such as up/down converters, amplifiers, attenuators, and other RF devices which are necessary before integration with a SATCOM MODEM. The contractor shall develop software that interfaces between the SATCOM MODEM and the ESA in order for the ESA to track mPOWER satellites.The contractor shall provide test support for shore based experiments at the contractors facility. This will include on-network testing with the SES mPOWER constellation. NIWC-PAC will provide test allocation on the SES mPOWER network. The contractor shall demonstrate performance drivers such as tracking beacon signals, data-throughput, transmit EIRP, Receive G/T, acquisition time, and latency. The contractor shall provide a demonstration using the government furnished equipment (GFE), namely the MPS ESAs, on the mPOWER network through an over-the-air (OTA) demonstration which will be held a the contractors facility. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote.
