NOAA's National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) is seeking to procure pressure sensor barometers for use in its weather buoy and coastal monitoring systems. - Government Buyer: - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), NDBC Engineering Division - OEMs and Vendors: - Druck (highlighted as the current OEM; model DPS811G-TB-A2-CC-H0-PG-) - Open to equivalent products from other manufacturers meeting all technical requirements - Products/Services Requested: - Pressure Sensor Barometers - 3 units for first article testing - 148 units for delivery after approval - Reference model: Druck DPS811G-TB-A2-CC-H0-PG- - Must meet or exceed technical specifications: 800-1100 hPa range, 0.15 hPa accuracy, RS-232 output, traceable calibration certificate, 0.01 hPa resolution, 0.1 hPa/year long-term stability, vibration and acceleration resistance, 1/8 NPT male pressure port, 9-15 VDC supply, <50 mA current draw, 5-inch length, 1-inch diameter, 1-year warranty - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Barometers must be compatible with National Weather Service standards and NDBC data systems - First article testing required (3 units delivered within 60 days for government evaluation) - Authorized reseller status required if not offering Druck - All shipping and tariffs to NDBC included in pricing - Emphasis on small business participation - Calibration certificate and compliance with specific vibration/acceleration standards required

Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Pressure Sensor Barometers for the National Data Buoy Center at Stennis Space Center, MS. The Government intends to make an award to the responsive responsible quoter providing the best value in accordance with FAR 12.203(c)(2).

DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made to a company not registered in SAM. Contractors active in SAM have a unique entity identifier (UEI) that is used to do business with the federal government. The Government has moved to a free new, non-proprietary identifier that will have to be requested in, and assigned by, the System for Award Management (SAM.gov).
