The DuPage County Board’s regular meeting on October 13, 2026, included a presentation of $750,000 in federal funding for sidewalk, lighting, and other infrastructure improvements on 91st Street in the Willowbrook Corners neighborhood. The Board approved a range of contracts and funding items, including a $4,486,515.16 contract with Mark43 for a police records management system serving 25 agencies; a $5,865,000 contract with Xcel Electric to replace power-plant switchgear and a generator; and a $1,066,462 phase-two design contract with Alfred Benesch for the Naper Boulevard/Illinois Route 38 project. Other approved purchases and services included a $193,008 Public Works truck, $440,000 for wastewater-treatment polymer, a SafeBuilt contract capped at $75,000 for building inspections, and a $372,680 Journal Technologies case-management system contract for the Public Defender’s Office. The Board also approved funding for a proposed two-year WorkNet childcare-assistance pilot totaling $300,000, and increased LIHEAP funding by $450,000, bringing the program total to $4,500,265.

Additional approvals included a $420,000 agreement with DuPage PADS for winter shelter and services; grants for children’s advocacy, victim services, senior services, transportation, and community programs; and several care-center contracts, including oxygen services capped at $50,000 and rehabilitation services capped at $550,000. The Board approved a $188,658 Crest Creek upstream weir contract with V3 Construction Group and transportation contracts for deicing supplies and engineering services. A ratified agreement with Zion Cloud Solutions for a Google Cloud landing zone and six-week Gemini Enterprise pilot was stated to be at no cost to the County. Members discussed proposed community grants—including requests for food-pantry improvements, youth programs, and mental-health services—which were introductions for consideration rather than awards at this meeting. The Board also discussed placing recurring PADS funding in the future budget and potential countywide coordination of food-pantry support; no related policy change was adopted in the transcript.
