The City of Bothell Planning Commission met on October 7, 2026. The City Clerk provided required training on the Open Public Meetings Act and Public Records Act, including guidance on public records, retention, meeting notice, and avoiding serial meetings. The Commission also approved the September 16 minutes with a correction to a commissioner’s name.

At a public hearing, the Commission unanimously approved the findings, conclusions, and recommendations for proposed bicycle-parking code amendments, advancing them for City Council consideration. The proposal adjusts bicycle-parking requirements for several land uses, improves accessibility and rack-quality standards, allows greater flexibility in siting and certain in-unit parking, and recognizes personal micromobility devices. The Commission also held a no-action study session on the Canyon Park subarea plan update, covering housing and mixed-use opportunities, employment, transportation, infrastructure, and public engagement; adoption is anticipated by the end of 2027. No contracts, procurements, or spending decisions were identified.
