KC Executive Committee October 7 2026

The Kane County Executive Committee met on October 7, 2026. Members approved a group of procurement and capital resolutions, including a JC Holding and Control HVAC project capped at $211,000; a design-build contract with Lifeway Mobility and RC Wegman Construction for an incline platform lift (bid 26-055-DH; amount not stated); a Laserfiche records-management purchase through Omnia for up to $150,000 per fiscal year; and additional FY2026 natural-area management spending with V3 Construction Group, bringing its total to $31,295. The committee also approved eight agricultural conservation easements, a revised stormwater-permit fee schedule, and an intergovernmental agreement with DuPage County to share costs for curbside-recycling advertising. A proposed advertising contract with Intersection Media LLC was held for more time to work on the contract.

Finance resolutions were approved, including a one-year audit-services extension with Baker Tilly US LLP for $142,200; a $43,650 JusticeText evidence-management platform contract; authorization of Progressive Energy Group LLC as the county’s electricity broker; and an Allied Garage Door repair and maintenance extension with a stated not-to-exceed amount of $100,000. Other approved items included claims paid of approximately $12.65 million, a $140,000 budget adjustment for a 1% non-union employee cost-of-living increase, and several grant acceptances or budget adjustments. Legislative lobbyists briefed members on pending state and federal proposals concerning data centers, energy and water use, and census rules; no related policy change was adopted at this meeting.
