The O’Fallon Historic Preservation Commission met on October 6, 2026. It discussed printing 18,000 historic-preservation education brochures. Members said bids had been received and printing had been approved previously, but the final draft was still awaiting sign-off before being sent to the printer; no vendor or bid amount was identified. The brochures are intended for educational outreach, including distribution through hotels and schools, and will include a QR code linking to additional information. No new contract award or spending vote was recorded. The commission also discussed a $5,000 donation for the Sage Chapel Boy Scout project, which remains subject to the Scouts’ approval process and is expected to continue into 2027.
Other business included a recap of the volunteer banquet and recognition of Rick Dotson as the 2026 Volunteer of the Year, cemetery and historic-property preservation efforts, and the process for historic designations. Commissioners discussed possible education initiatives and coordination with city landscaping staff on invasive plants. The commission also received a presentation on the Sons of the American Revolution. No other procurement activity was identified.
