October 06, 2026 Planning Commission Meeting

At the October 6, 2026, City of Cedar Springs Planning Commission meeting, commissioners approved the September 1 minutes and adopted Resolution 2026-01 establishing the commission’s regular meeting dates from January through December 2027. No contracts, purchases, bid approvals, or budget allocations were discussed, so no procurement activity was identified.

The commission reviewed draft zoning amendments that would remove a co-location requirement for certain marijuana growers, processors, and retailers, and simplify site-plan review standards while adding a master-plan consistency criterion for special land uses. No action was taken on the drafts; public hearings on both were planned for the November meeting. Staff also shared preliminary development updates, including a possible nine-townhouse project near Maple Street and a site plan in preparation for Assure Women’s Center at 45 Pine Street, as well as discussion of a potential future 425 agreement with Solon Township and road-related issues. These were informational updates, not procurement decisions.
