The City of Ocoee Commission meeting was held October 6, 2026 (recording metadata lists October 7). The Commission approved the consent agenda by motion; Commissioner Kennedy was absent. No contracts, bids, vendor selections, or procurement awards were presented. During public comments, residents asked the City to evaluate and pave or grade the road serving homes at 560 BC Terry Road, which they said has drainage and access problems. The City Manager committed to bringing recommendations to the next Commission meeting; the homes are in the county, and no funding or paving approval was made. A speaker also warned that a proposed state tax amendment could reduce City revenue and affect services and facilities, but no Commission action was taken on that issue.
The Commission proclaimed October 2026 Fire Prevention Month, with this year’s theme focused on safe lithium-ion battery charging. A commissioner reported that the FY 2026–27 budget had been passed and praised staff’s budget work; no new budget allocation or purchasing action was discussed. Other topics included community events, water conservation outreach, the rescheduling of National Night Out, and e-bike and scooter safety. No procurement activity was identified.
