Rock Hill Schools board meeting, September 22, 2026. No contract awards, RFP selections, or purchasing approvals were reported. The superintendent said the 14-member Community Facilities Task Force had begun work on a 10-year facilities master plan, including site visits to assess safety, learning environments, building efficiency, and code requirements. The task force will set priorities and deliver recommendations in the spring to address capital needs and use public resources responsibly. The superintendent also reported that the district’s finance department held a public meeting for contractors and vendors on bidding for district projects; about 20 people attended, and the district aims to encourage competitive bids from local vendors.

Trustees raised concerns about rising diesel and fuel prices and their possible effects on transportation, field trips, athletics, and other programs, asking whether budget adjustments or restrictions may be needed. District leadership said the issue warrants further discussion, with a follow-up expected at a future meeting; no spending action was taken. The board approved the proposed 2027–28 course changes, excluding two AP course proposals pending further information, and approved the school calendar. These were program and calendar decisions, not procurement approvals.
