The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors met on October 6, 2026. The Board unanimously approved the consent calendar, items 2–51, with no items pulled. Procurement- and spending-related items highlighted by supervisors included acceptance of $1.4 million in state Department of Finance funding for election-counting and voter-outreach efforts (item 38); additional funding for the Prado Regional Park irrigation well (item 48); and a $3.3 million investment in ADA improvements in the Rosena Ranch community (item 51). The Board also approved a $125,000 allocation for holiday assistance to vulnerable residents and a contribution toward the Upland VFW’s new location; the discussion cited $10,000 in combined support and an additional $5,000 contribution from another district. Item 50’s contract term and amount were revised to December 16, 2025–December 15, 2028, and $4.5 million, respectively; the transcript does not identify the vendor or contract purpose. The meeting’s opening video described the completed Santa Ana River Trail Phase 3, which received just under $7 million, and said Phase 4A, a 3.7-mile extension, was in design for planned construction in mid-2027.
The Board also unanimously approved several public-hearing land-use matters. For the Lake Arrowhead Estates subdivision of 37 residential lots, the Board approved the staff recommendation with an added condition that the project’s HOA share private-road maintenance costs proportionately with the other HOAs. It approved a 324-unit, modular, 100%-affordable senior community with an 80% density bonus; staff did not support the requested regional transportation mitigation and fire district impact-fee waivers. A separate parcel-map exception in the Arrowbear community was also approved. No competitive solicitation or vendor award was identified beyond the contract revision noted above; the transcript includes general discussion of county emergency-response contracts but no specific purchase or award.
